Flood Insurance

Damage to your property by rising water is not covered by the Homeowner policy.  Only the Flood policy provides this protection.

The Flood Insurance rates below are for those homes located in a preferred flood zone. If your mortgage company requires you to carry flood insurance,  your home is most likely not in a preferred zone and an elevation certificate may be required to determine pricing.  In that case, please call our office for a firm quote. 

The flood policy can provide "replacement cost" coverage for the dwelling structure if written properly.  Contents are only covered for their actual cash value  however, so claims payment on contents are paid on a depreciated basis.

Flood premiums should be the same regardless of carrier as coverage is provided by FEMA.  Coverage may be purchased over the phone with a simple phone call in most cases.  Do not delay because there is a mandatory 30 day wait before the coverage period begins after purchasing the policy.  Annual premium is due in full at time of application.
